Sensory Gym Press Release

Special Stars, Inc NFP is opening a new gym, but it's not filled with barbells and treadmills.  Rather, this gym is one that aims to include children of all abilities. 

Special Stars was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley to add a sensory gym to their facility.  Additional equipment for the gym was purchased from donations by the Seidelman Scharbert Memorial Foundation Fund, Annette Sanders and Tom David.  A special thanks to Fun Factory Sensory Gyms for their help designing and installing our new gym and making us one of their promotional facilities.

Our sensory gym helps children acclimate to new stimuli and helps foster independence. Our gym includes swings, ball pits, zip-lines, monkey bars, rock walls and play structures.  Come celebrate with us at our ribbon cutting on Sunday November 17th, 12:00-2:00pm. We are located inside of Stephanie’s Academy of Dance at 2230 Cornell Ave in Montgomery, Illinois.
